PrayerNet Guidelines

We prayerfully ask that everyone kindly and thoroughly edit their Prayer Requests using the following guidelines:

General Guidelines for the CRC PrayerNet

  • Prayer requests are sent out via PrayerNet Monday through Friday, at approximately 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  They are not distributed over the weekend or when the office is closed for a holiday.
  • CrossRoad does NOT provide emergency care. If you have an emergency, or if you feel that you may hurt yourself or others, please call 911 and talk to the 911 emergency responder or go to the nearest Emergency Room and ask for help
  • All Prayer Requests should be kept confidential and not be discussed with anyone except the Lord.
  • The content of all requests may be edited as necessary to insure privacy and suitability for public distribution. Any request that we deem to be inappropriate will not be distributed.
  • Discretion should be used when submitting prayer requests. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself if you would want to see your name included with the details being provided.
  • If you feel more details need to be given, please feel free to submit a more exacting explanation on a hard copy Prayer Request from provided in The CRC Worship Center. This will limit the number of people with access to your prayer recipient's personal information.
  • Above all, consideration for one's privacy is a must. In an effort to protect this privacy, only first names will be used when the sender is discussing drug or alcohol abuse problems, or medical conditions or prognoses.
  • Assumptions should never be made about whom the intended recipient of a prayer request is.
  • Prayer requests should only be submitted for those individuals and situations about which you have accurate personal knowledge. No mass email or Web site listings are to be submitted.
  • Please remember that the CRC PrayerNet is not a bulletin board or a flyer to be used for contacting people or to solicit funds or goods. In keeping with this policy, all such submissions will not be placed on the Internet.

Thank you for your attention to these guidelines for the integrity of the CRC PrayerNet.
