Family Promise

Family Promise is an organization that works with local homeless families to help them get back into housing of their own.  Mark Landschoot is the Director of Family Promise Jacksonville and he is a CrossRoad member.

Family Promise’s ministry focus is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.  They are a non-profit, interfaith hospitality network that provides temporary shelter, meals, hospitality, and case management for families experiencing homelessness.  They do this through the participation of local congregations, dedicated staff, and hundreds of volunteers.

Once a quarter, families stay at CrossRoad for a week and we provide temporary living space, meals, and volunteers who serve the families while they stay with us.  There are 50 CrossRoad volunteers that are directly or indirectly involved in hosting families during each rotation.

There are a number of ways that you can help bless families while they stay at CrossRoad, from providing groceries to preparing meals.
