Dear CrossRoad Family,

As our community moves from storm survival to recovery, remember that the Bible promises us, "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble" (Psalms 46:1). We invite you to continue to connect with God and your church family on Sundays at 10am. It does our souls good to sing together, pray for each other, and hear a word of encouragement and hope.

Important Updates

We will be joining Disaster Relief At Work (DRAW) with their cleanup efforts at Middleburg UMC (3925 Main St, Middleburg, FL 32068), and they will be coordinating the efforts. What a blessing to be able to work with such a great organization! Those that are able are invited to meet Pastor Kevin at CRC at 9am Saturday and caravan to Middleburg, OR meet Pastor Gee at Middleburg UMC at 10am also on Saturday. We will be providing refreshments to those that attend, so we ask that you RSVP so we might get an accurate count. Please use the RSVP form on the right.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you  wear sturdy shoes (rubber if you've got them) and waterproof gloves if at all possible. Those that do will be working with the flooded areas of the churches and homes.  In addition, below is a list of items that will be helpful to bring should you have any of them.
Flooded Out work group needs:
Heavy duty shoes or muck boots (rubber) wear thick socks
Gloves (water proof will be best)
Utility knives
Cleaning supplies
Wheel barrows
Skill saw
Chalk box (chalk lines for drywall if needed)
Tape measure
Chain saw
Dry wall removing tools
Shop vac
Respirators (or breathing masks. Maybe go a step above the cheapest paper ones)
Wet wipes, sanitizer wipes
Clothes lines and clothes pins
Heavy duty trash bags
Utility knives
For the homeowners beyond the work groups:
Animal supplies
Bedding (sheet sets, maybe a few air mattresses, pillowcases)
There is plenty to do for people of every level, even if you can't lift or move heavy objects. If you know of someone looking to donate money instead of time, CRC has established a disaster relief fund and they can donate to that HERE.  Again, thank you for your time and love for people.

We believe in the power of prayer, even to move mountains, as Jesus said in Matthew 17:20- "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Mountains can be physical, emotional, relational, mental, and spiritual. That being said, unless God has other plans, can we also believe in the power of prayer to move a hurricane?
